Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, seeks a Senior RF Design Engineer to develop the RF subsystem for the StreamCaster product line. This on-site role reports to the Director of RF Engineering in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities include designing RF subsystems, selecting components, and ensuring EMI compliance while collaborating across teams. Requires 5+ years of RF hardware experience and a U.S. Person per contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• 5+ years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience.
• Good working knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
• Hands-on EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issue resolution.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (AWR Microwave Office, Altium).
• U.S. Person due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Antenna to baseband RF subsystem design using discrete circuitry or highly integrated RFICs.
• Design includes PLL, LNA, Mixers, PA, etc.
• Oversee schematic capture and PCB layout.
• RF performance characterization, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure EMI-friendly overall system design.
• Ensure circuit board design and radio product pass emission and immunity regulations.
• Troubleshoot RF-related production yield problems.
• Improve design for manufacturability.
• Travel for local assignments as needed (rare).
