Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber RF Software Engineer Senior to lead software teams and drive DSP/RF initiatives. You’ll mentor engineers, translate requirements into designs, and ensure robust, scalable solutions for complex RF systems.

You’ll work with C++ and Python, leverage Kubernetes and CI/CD practices, and contribute to Agile processes while advancing DSP techniques and RF signal processing capabilities across programs.

Qualifications

• Active US security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a DSP focus.
• Equivalency: MS in Engineering/CS + 2 years experience OR 4 years DSP experience + high school diploma
• Minimum 12 years of experience developing DSP algorithms on projects that follow established software processes.
• Minimum 12 years of professional programming experience using C++, Linux, Python (or comparable languages).
• RF software development (≥ 4 years).
• Kubernetes/CI‑CD pipeline implementation.
• Git version‑control.
• Agile/Sprint development methodology.
• Digital Signal Processing techniques, including short‑burst/hopping signal detection, energy detection, channelization, and digital signal synthesis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure high quality work aligned with the software development process.
• Mentor and guide team members to grow their skills.
• Consult and analyze user requirements and translate into software design and performance specs.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Improve documentation and development process standards.
• Design, code, and debug features and optimizations for DSP/ RF software.
• Support Agile/Sprint practices and collaboration across teams.
