Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a contract engineer to lead and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for satellite and avionics programs. The role is non-managerial and involves coordinating work on system architecture, hardware, and software interfaces, plus testing and validation to meet operational specs.

The position requires a BS in engineering and RF/digital engineering experience; an active TS/SCI clearance is needed after start.

Responsibilities

• Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Oversees design and build of multiple satellite and avionics units.
• Leads and coordinates work to translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
• Leads testing and validation to ensure systems meet requirements.
• Oversees team monitoring supplier performance for system integration and compliance.
• Addresses issues with fielded hardware and software across the product lifecycle.
• Researches technology advances for potential applications.
• Makes recommendations for technology investments.
