Job summary

AV is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join the Space RF Systems SEIT team in Albuquerque. You will lead RF modeling, simulations, and high-fidelity characterizations for multiple satellites and space assets, interfacing with stakeholders and other engineering disciplines.

The role requires 8+ years in RF engineering, strong antenna theory, and PCB transmission line knowledge. ITAR compliance and a Top Secret clearance are essential; a background in high-performance computing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of RF Engineering experience.
• Experience developing RF models.
• Experience using Matlab, Simulink, HFSS, ADS, Python, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of phased array and antenna theory.
• Deep understanding of transmission line theory in support of PCB development.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF models and simulations for multiple projects.
• Produce high-fidelity RF characterizations and designs for products under development.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to enable best use of RF products.
• Lead root-cause analysis for issues during development/testing of prototype hardware.
• Author technical documents and presentations for stakeholders.
