Job summary

Nokia Federal Solutions Inc. seeks a Senior RF Engineer to lead RF design for advanced wireless systems supporting government, civil, and defense applications.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and influence roadmaps across hardware and systems teams. With 10+ years of RF experience, you will define link budgets, evaluate components, and ensure robust test strategies from concept through prototype to product integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of professional RF engineering and hardware development experience.
• Experience with RF transceivers and front-end design.
• Experience with RF simulation, analysis, and design tools.
• Strong understanding of RF circuit design and wireless systems.
• Proven track record taking RF designs from concept to validation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF transceiver circuits for wireless products.
• Develop RF front-end architectures with power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, frequency converters, synthesizers, PLLs, and antenna interfaces.
• Define RF link budgets and system-level performance requirements.
• Lead component selection, evaluations, and design tradeoff studies.
• Develop RF solutions balancing performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability.
• Use RF design and simulation tools to evaluate and optimize circuit and system performance.
• Review RF PCB layouts for signal integrity and controlled impedance.
• Support prototype development, board bring-up, troubleshooting, and design validation.
• Develop and execute RF test strategies and validation plans.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems teams to support product development.
• Serve as a technical authority and mentor junior engineers.
• Stay current with emerging RF technologies and industry developments.
