Job summary

Fidus is seeking an experienced RF Designer to own end‑to‑end RF subsystems from architecture to bench verification. You will collaborate with FPGA/DSP, hardware, and verification teams on SatCom, GNSS, radar, and software defined radios,working closely with clients to deliver rugged, high‑fidelity designs.

The role emphasizes RF architecture, modeling, and test with microwave equipment, at frequencies up to 40 GHz, and involves international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; RF/microwave focus preferred.
• 8+ years RF and wireless hardware design experience.
• Familiar with FDD/TDD, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define RF architecture and frequency plan, LO, IF, sampling strategy.
• Design Tx chains from baseband to up-conversion, including PA and output controls.
• Design Rx chains with LNA, down-conversion, AGC, and protection.
• Model and budget NF, sensitivity, EVM, and phase noise.
• Specify filters, mixers, circulators, and other RF components.
• Configure digital path with RFSoC, DUC/DDC, and FIRs.
• Collaborate on RF/microwave PCB layout and SI considerations.
• Develop manufacturable subsystems with calibration hooks and QA tooling.
• Verify performance with spectrum analyzers, VNAs, meters; document designs.
