Job summary

Quiddity in Houston, TX seeks a Senior BIM Technician to develop and maintain Revit models and construction documents for water and wastewater projects. You will translate engineering designs into coordinated drawings, manage plan sets, and support QA/QC with guidance to junior staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating disciplines, producing details and schedules, setting up Revit templates, and mentoring teammates while staying current with BIM standards and industry practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and BIM processes.
• Experience producing construction documents for civil projects.
• Understanding of engineering drafting practices and terminology.
• Ability to translate plans and redlines into accurate models.
• Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
• Capacity to work independently and manage priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration.
• Willingness to train and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Revit models and construction documents for water/wastewater projects.
• Translate design concepts into accurate Revit drawings with engineers/designers.
• Produce plan sets, sections, schedules, and details for infrastructure.
• Coordinate models with disciplines and identify conflicts.
• Complete redlines and drawing updates with minimal supervision.
• QA/QC own work and review junior BIM technicians' work.
• Set up and maintain Revit project files, templates, and families.
• Improve Revit standards, templates, and workflows.
• Troubleshoot routine BIM issues and escalate complex ones.
• Communicate progress, deadlines, and technical challenges to team.
• Mentor and train junior BIM technicians.
• Maintain knowledge of Revit and industry standards.
