Job summary

Lyntris, located in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Revenue Accountant to manage project cost accounting, analyze financial data, and ensure accurate reporting across programs. You will work with Finance, Program Managers, and Contracts to maintain alignment between costs, forecasts, and billing milestones.

The role requires hands-on experience with cost accounting, GAAP, and ERP systems, plus the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of cost/accounting/project finance experience in a project-based environment.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, cost transfers, and financial discrepancy research.
• Experience developing EAC/ETC forecasts and analyzing project costs, margin, risk, and performance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual and cost accounting, project-based revenue recognition, and milestone-based billing.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/project accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Active U.S. national security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned accounting analyses and recurring financial deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Investigate financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Proactively identify financial risks, exposures, and inconsistencies in accounting records and program data.
• Evaluate financial assumptions and provide fact-based recommendations for decision-making.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and support ledger integrity, close, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Program Managers and Program Controls to align financial reporting with execution baselines.
• Assess financial implications of program activities and customer commitments while ensuring accountability.
• Serve as liaison between Finance, Program Management, and Program Controls for accurate financial information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
