Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Meter Inspector who can develop design drawings and meter programs, then implement and certify meter installations, perform site wiring verification, testing and troubleshooting.

Formación

• Two-year technical degree with an engineering background or bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in revenue metering.
• Metering Inspector certification/badge preferred; examples include ERCOT EPS Meter Inspector and CAISO Authorized Inspector.
• Expert in metering design concepts.
• Ability to review and own multiple projects simultaneously and support other projects as needed while meeting deadlines.
• Proven excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor multiple individuals.
• Ability to read, trace, modify, and create engineering drawings (SLD, 3LD, schematics) as they relate to meters.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationwide; focus on Texas and/or California.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify, and review existing SLD & 3LD, schematics, and wiring diagrams related to meters.
• Estimate and/or review labor and equipment for project budgets; guide junior staff.
• Prepare and/or review specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
• Program revenue and check meters to account for complex system losses and real-time data; mentor others.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and certify revenue and check meters and data recorders.
• Develop and maintain metering standards, trainings, procedures, and safety practices; create standard meter programs.
• Verify wiring and meter accuracy of commercial and utility-scale installations; assist others with verification.
• Investigate metering problems, perform repairs, advise customers, and assist others with troubleshooting.
• Coach engineers and technicians on meter installation and maintenance in the field using a portable test kit.
• Design and review metering panels; train on standard software and provide training to others.
• Inspect new and existing meter panels for client requirements, codes, and AHJ compliance.
• Establish schedules and provide timely progress reports; work independently in the field when needed.
• Maintain safety compliance of field equipment and perform tailboard safety checks.
• Share knowledge and present relevant topics to the team.
