Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Principal Meter Engineer to serve as the firm's technical authority for revenue metering. You will design, program, install, test, and certify three-phase metering systems, develop standards, and mentor engineers across teams.

As the senior metering authority, you will govern company-wide metering practices, support proposals, and collaborate with clients while traveling nationwide to project sites and trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of revenue metering experience.
• Four-year engineering degree required.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC requirements for metering.
• Ability to travel nationwide and work in diverse field settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead metering projects and coach others.
• Serve as Client Team Lead for multiple metering clients.
• Act as technical authority for revenue metering design, testing, and certification.
• Develop company-wide metering standards and training materials.
• Create technical scopes of work and estimates for proposals and budgets.
• Apply metering standards and ISO/RTO tariffs in design documents.
• Train engineers and technicians on meter installation and maintenance.
• Manage schedules and communicate progress to stakeholders.
