Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Principal Meter Engineer in Rancho Cordova, CA to serve as the technical authority for revenue metering, leading design, programming, installation, and testing of three-phase metering systems. The role develops standards, procedures, and training, supports proposals, and mentors engineers and technicians.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of revenue metering experience, a four-year engineering degree, and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognized metering expert with deep knowledge of revenue metering systems.
• Ability to lead complex metering projects and mentor engineers/technicians.
• Experience with ANSI, IEEE, NEC requirements for revenue metering.
• Proficiency with meter configuration software from major manufacturers.
• Educational background in engineering with PE considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and oversee metering project work across engineers and technicians.
• Serve as Client Team Lead for multiple metering clients and coordinate with related disciplines.
• Act as technical authority for revenue metering design, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
