Job summary

Scripps Research Translational Institute in San Diego is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Office of Technology Development Revenue to manage data systems and drive revenue reporting. You will ensure accurate licensing data across Inteum and related systems, create dashboards, and support financial operations with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in data wrangling, strong analytical skills, and deep knowledge of licensing contracts, with an on-site schedule at the La Jolla campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, accounting or business.
• 5+ years’ experience in data wrangling and management.
• Familiarity with databases and metadata standards.
• Understanding of technology licensing contracts and revenue collection.
• Understanding of Bayh-Dole Act and how it relates to licensing agreements.
• Experience with biotechnology contracts and document management systems.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with high attention to organization and detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to select appropriate means of communication in a given situation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
• Rigorous planning and proactive communication, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office.
• On-campus position requiring a minimum of 4 days per week onsite from La Jolla campus, with one day remote.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the database administrator for the Inteum database, including training users and maintaining data integrity.
• Manage all aspects of database processes to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Oversee integration of Inteum with other Scripps Research systems.
• Track, collect and distribute licensing revenue per contracts.
• Partner with AR, AP and GL teams to support invoicing and revenue distribution.
• Create revenue distribution profiles for licenses and maintain dashboards/reports.
• Provide financial subject-matter expertise to ERP implementations and system upgrades.
• Assist audits to ensure licensee compliance with agreements.
• Advance data-driven licensing and commercialization practices.
