UPMC Health System is seeking a Senior Account Representative to manage billing, collections and account resolution for hospital claims with insurers and patients. You will verify postings, respond to payers and patients, and drive timely collections.

Formación

• 1 year of claims/billing/collections experience OR 4 years in a business office OR a Bachelor's Degree.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Must be able to communicate with patients, payers, outside agencies and the public by phone, email and written correspondence.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure timely and accurate posting and reimbursement.
• Verify payment posting accuracy with payers and departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify root cause issues and recommend corrective actions to reduce denials.
• Assist in claim appeals and follow-up per Revenue Cycle policies.
• Manage assigned accounts with timely billing, collections and adjustments.
• Evaluate referrals to appropriate resources and entities as needed.
• Understand third-party billing guidelines and patient accounting systems.
