Summary of Position

This is a hybrid on-site position at our offices in Coppell, TX. The first 90 days require full on-site attendance. Post-probation, a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days on-site per week is possible, subject to change at leadership's discretion.

Position Description

Senior Revenue Cycle Specialists are responsible for problem resolution and payment collection of complex billing transactions, utilizing expert problem-solving skills to resolve billing issues, unpaid claims, and customer complaints, ensuring full resolution and prompt payment.

Key Job Elements

• Handle correspondence related to insurance or patient accounts, contacting carriers to maximize payments and identify issues.
• Identify trends to prevent reimbursement issues and collaborate on solutions.
• Resolve complex billing issues, unpaid claims, and complaints, coordinating corrective actions.
• Review documents for compliance, communicate with insurance companies, patients, and leadership to resolve concerns.
• Communicate with carriers, patients, and management to maximize payments and resolve issues.
• Learn payor fee schedules and denials, understanding Medicare, Medicaid, and private payors' policies.
• Research and resolve denials, work aging reports, and handle complex projects requiring advanced knowledge in insurance receivables.
• Perform other related duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a complex healthcare billing environment
• Advanced knowledge of government and private payor reimbursement
• Experience in anatomic pathology or diagnostic laboratories is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
