Revenue Cycle Specialist II - Professional Billing

What You Will Do

• Expedite and maximize payment and resolution of insurance medical claims by resolving edits, denials, and payment issues promptly.
• Document clear, concise, and complete follow-up notes in the system for each account worked.
• Ensure accounts are completed and worked at a high level of quality using HRO tools and monitoring output.
• Identify, analyze, and escalate trends impacting AR collections.
• Exceed productivity goals.
• Complete special projects to improve team performance.
• Demonstrate expertise in payors including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors, and revenue cycle operations.
• Ensure the protection of private health and personal information, adhering to HIPAA requirements.
• Participate in educational activities and team meetings.
• Stay current on collection and follow-up procedures across payors and departments.
• Assist with training and support for team members as directed by leadership.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and account resolution abilities.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in PB AR management, insurance follow-up, billing, or relevant revenue cycle roles.
• Strong understanding of health insurance billing, follow-up, credits, regulations, and payer requirements.
• Proficient in computer and EMR systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, with Epic Care Connect experience a plus.
• Dependable, self-starting, and deadline-driven, capable of working independently and in teams.
