What You Will Do
- Expedite and maximize payment and resolution of insurance medical claims by resolving edits, denials, and payment issues promptly.
- Document clear, concise, and complete follow-up notes in the system for each account worked.
- Ensure accounts are completed and worked at a high level of quality using HRO tools and monitoring output.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate trends impacting AR collections.
- Exceed productivity goals.
- Complete special projects to improve team performance.
- Demonstrate expertise in payors including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors, and revenue cycle operations.
- Ensure the protection of private health and personal information, adhering to HIPAA requirements.
- Participate in educational activities and team meetings.
- Stay current on collection and follow-up procedures across payors and departments.
- Assist with training and support for team members as directed by leadership.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and account resolution abilities.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business or healthcare preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in PB AR management, insurance follow-up, billing, or relevant revenue cycle roles.
- Strong understanding of health insurance billing, follow-up, credits, regulations, and payer requirements.
- Proficient in computer and EMR systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, with Epic Care Connect experience a plus.
- Dependable, self-starting, and deadline-driven, capable of working independently and in teams.
