Job summary

Atlantic Health Strategies is pursuing a Director of Revenue to lead revenue cycle operations for a growing organization serving multiple healthcare clients, with a focus on behavioral health and substance use disorder services. The role requires strong leadership, client relationship management, and hands-on process optimization.

The position is remote with periodic travel to Baltimore, MD, and requires availability during Eastern Time hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in healthcare revenue cycle management or related healthcare operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle operations including billing, claims, AR, collections, denial management, and appeals.
• Experience leading revenue cycle teams and managing client relationships at an executive level.
• Ability to manage a remote team and maintain ET business hours with periodic travel to Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across revenue cycle functions (billing, claims submission, posting, AR, collections, denials, appeals).
• Oversee revenue cycle services for multiple healthcare client organizations with consistent performance and accountability.
• Serve as a primary client-facing leader, conducting recurring executive reviews of financial results and action plans.
• Lead and mentor a geographically distributed revenue cycle team with standardized workflows and accountability.
• Monitor KPIs such as denial rates, DSO, clean claim rate, and reimbursement trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with billing, utilization review, credentialing, and operations teams to resolve barriers and ensure compliance.
