Job summary

Mimecast is seeking a Senior Analyst to own North America revenue flux analysis, deferred revenue, and revenue journal entries for our SaaS business. You will partner with Sales, Channel, Licensing & Renewals, and Collections to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606).

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and audits, while applying AI to core workflows. The role requires 4+ years of accounting experience, experience with NetSuite/Salesforce, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, SaaS or subscription preferred.
• Hands-on experience with revenue journal entries, deferred revenue, and reconciliations.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce or similar ERP/CRM systems.
• Advanced Excel skills for pivot tables and reporting.
• SOX compliance or audits experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Own NA revenue flux analysis per period and communicate results to Revenue leadership.
• Lead monthly deferred revenue processes with roll-forwards and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post revenue journal entries with supporting docs.
• Review daily deals for accuracy and non-standard terms.
• Serve as primary NA Revenue Accounting Operations resource for internal teams.
• Contribute to process improvements to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Support audits with documentation and walkthroughs of controls.
• Apply AI tools to revenue workflows like contract review and reconciliations.
• Share knowledge and build AI fluency within the team.
