Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a Senior Accountant for Revenue Accounting and Systems in Seattle. You will support month-end close, revenue recognition, and contract reviews while driving internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work with ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP, Blackline) and analytics tools (Power BI, Incorta), contributing to process improvements and scalable reporting in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Experience supporting revenue accounting, contract review, billing, deferred revenue, or loyalty programs.
• Experience with ERP and financial systems such as Oracle, Blackline, SAP.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled tools such as Anaplan, Incorta, Power BI, Copilot.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Support month and quarter-end close activities and analysis.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Review contracts, promotions, and programs for revenue accounting impacts.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, tax, and technology teams.
• Develop process improvements and documentation for scalable reporting.
• Provide accounting guidance and research as needed.
