Starbucks is seeking a Senior Accountant in New Jersey to lead journal entries, conduct reconciliations, and support month-end close activities. The role requires collaboration across teams to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Three or more years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Hyperion, Oracle) and BI/reporting tools.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and applicable accounting principles.
• Reconcile accounts and evaluate reconciliations prepared by others.
• Maintain and enhance multiple accounting systems and processes.
• Guide month-end and quarter-end close activities, including trend and variance analysis.
• Assist quarterly income statement reviews and ongoing budget and forecasting activities.
• Analyze new or current accounting standards for enterprise transactions and develop accounting memos.
• Support and train staff on day-to-day responsibilities and group priorities.
• Lead or support unique initiatives as assigned.
