Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
• Revenue accounting experience preferred with solid financial reporting background.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join a growing accounting team in the Miami area. This role will take ownership of revenue accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and key components of the monthly close process.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform balance sheet and revenue account reconciliations, researching discrepancies and resolving outstanding items.
• Review and analyze revenue activity to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in the appropriate accounting period.
• Manage key components of the month-end close process, including reconciliations, reporting schedules, and variance analysis.
• Work closely with other departments to investigate accounting discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Review the work of other accounting team members and identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
• Support audit requests, financial reporting requirements, and other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, revenue recognition, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
• Revenue accounting experience preferred, with a strong foundation in general accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
