Job summary

PO&G Resources, LP is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Houston headquarters. You will manage oil, gas, and NGL revenue for multiple entities, prepare allocations and journal entries, and ensure accurate tax reporting across states from our Houston office.

The role requires extensive oil and gas revenue experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years oil and gas revenue experience.
• Strong time management, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; OGSYS and DocVue experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record oil, gas, and NGL sales for multiple entities (operated and non-operated).
• Prepare revenue allocations and journal entries.
• Match field sales tickets to crude oil statements.
• Prepare severance tax reports and payments for multiple states including TX.
• Prepare federal (ONRR) and state royalty reporting and payments.
• Manage quarterly withholding and annual reconciliations.
• Integrate acquired properties into existing processes.
• Run monthly results reports (LOS, LOE, Rev, etc.).
• Communicate with operations, land, and management teams.

Job description

PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty-seven-year-old private oil and gas company. With the successful closing of several recent producing property acquisitions, the company is currently hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant located in our Houston headquarters office.

This role will play an integral part in the overall accounting department and the internal and external customers it serves. As such, we are looking for a highly self-motivated, independent-thinking and detail-oriented individual to fill this position immediately.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately record oil, gas, and NGL sales for multiple entities – operated and non-operated
• Prepare revenue allocations and journal entries
• Match field sales tickets to crude oil statements
• Complete severance tax reports and payments for multiple states including Colorado, Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Utah and Indiana
• Prepare federal (ONRR) and state royalty reporting and payments
• Responsible for other state filing requirements such as quarterly withholding and annual reconciliations
• Integrate acquired properties into existing processes
• Run monthly results reports for multiple companies (LOS, LOE, Rev, etc.)
• Contributes to team effort but able to work independently
• Communicates effectively with employees in areas of operations/engineering, land and management as well as purchasers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of oil and gas revenue experience
• Basic understanding and interest in oil and gas industry
• Requires time management skills to meet monthly close deadlines
• Attention to detail with ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, work independently, and maintain organized files
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Required: Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Preferred: OGSYS and DocVue software experience a plus
• Salary commensurate with experience
