Job summary

MAP Retirement USA LLC is seeking a Plan Consultant to administer employer-sponsored retirement plans, including Defined Benefits and Cash Balance plans, and ensure compliance with IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations. The role collaborates with client teams to deliver accurate plan operations and timely filings.

Responsibilities include plan maintenance, testing, contributions, asset reconciliations, and assisting sponsors with termination processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and maintain an assigned book of plans (defined benefit, cash balance, and/or defined contribution).
• Prepare and review valuations and compliance testing per ERISA guidelines and IRS procedures.
• Calculate plan contributions to optimize tax savings while passing required testing.
• Perform required testing (e.g., 401(a)(4), 410(b), 401(a)(26), 414(s)).
• Prepare asset reconciliations and trust accounting as needed.
• Prepare self-employment income calculations as needed.
• Prepare government filings (e.g., Forms 5500, 5330, Schedule SB, PBGC filings).
• Analyze plan documents and recommend changes to meet client needs.
• Review employee census data to determine additional information needs.
• Assist sponsors with plan termination, including PBGC-covered plans.
• Provide quality communication with sponsors, advisors, and accountants.
• Prepare preliminary design studies and projections for prospective clients.
• Support actuaries and consultants to deliver high-quality service.
• Calculate retirement distribution benefits in all forms.
