Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a People & Culture Specialist, Retirement to administer the firm’s qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) and related programs. The role supports inquiries, reconciles contributions and loan activity, and partners with payroll, recordkeepers, and actuaries to ensure compliant plan operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of retirement plan administration experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong proficiency in Excel and other Office tools.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in retirement plan administration.
• Experience with IRS and ERISA laws in a professional services firm is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains the Firm’s qualified retirement plans (401(k), Puerto Rico 401(k), Employee Stock Bonus Plan).
• Responds to employee and principal inquiries in a professional, client-centric manner.
• Reconciles employer and employee contributions, deductions, and loan activity between payroll, vendors and plan recordkeepers.
