Job summary

Empower Retirement seeks a Senior Workplace Planning Consultant in Colorado to deliver retirement guidance and education within employer-sponsored plans. You will guide participants through managed accounts, coordinate inbound and outbound calls, and build lasting relationships to support long-term financial well-being.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in financial services or advisory, and FINRA 7/66 registrations with fingerprinting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments.
• FINRA 7 & 66 registrations required; fingerprinting upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to a variety of plan and policy-related questions by exhibiting listening, patience, empathy, authenticity, proactivity and perseverance
• Relay accurate information and provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures
• Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan specific and general distribution options
• Engage in a dialogue to educate customers in making informed distribution decisions and the advantages of participation in a company sponsored retirement plan or an individual retirement account versus the tax implications of taking receipt of the proceeds from their retirement investments
• Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction
• Engage with peers in the organization to problem solve and deliver results
• Use innovative tools and services to find the best options and strategies to help customers with their retirement‑planning needs
• Meet monthly and annual sales and service goals
