Nuveen Real Estate seeks a senior Leasing Strategy leader to drive merchandising and leasing strategies for open-air and high street retail properties nationwide. You will manage retailer relationships, lead cross-functional teams with asset management and capital-raising, and ensure leasing execution aligns with investment objectives.

The role requires 5+ years in retail real estate (7+ preferred), strong financial acumen for deal evaluation, and willingness to travel nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in retail real estate; 7+ years preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• Active Broker in Charge or Supervising Broker license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandising and leasing strategies across open-air and high street retail properties.
• Drive retailer curation and leasing execution with asset management and brokers.
• Direct third-party leasing broker relationships across the portfolio.
• Oversee leasing materials, pipeline reporting, and investor presentations.
• Evaluate deal terms and economics aligning with underwriting and market comps.
• Partner with transactions and fundraising teams to support underwriting and market positioning.
• Advise on retailer demand and lease-up strategy for acquisitions, redevelopment, and development initiatives.
• Build relationships with national and regional retailers to translate into market insights.
• Track retail trends and leasing performance to guide portfolio strategy.
• Represent Nuveen and organize industry events to source retailer leads.
