Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior IT project leader to manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, and stakeholder engagement within the energy sector. You will lead diverse teams, ensure governance, and deliver complex IT initiatives on time and within scope.

The role requires extensive experience in software development and data architecture, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive business objectives through technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, application, and data architecture.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• 3+ years of Retail Energy Experience.
• Strong knowledge of system design, cloud computing, security principles, and modern development frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to work with on-site and remote team members.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and drive meaningful insights
• Strategic approach to aligning business objectives with technology solutions
• Ability to handle conflicting demands, prioritize workload, and delegate effectively

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, following company project governance standards
• Engage business units, IT teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
• Monitor and manage project budgets
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
• Maintain detailed project tracking and prepare senior presentation decks and status updates for senior management
• Lead and oversee complex IT projects within the energy sector
• Strategically plan, execute, and deliver projects supporting company energy initiatives
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
