Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal's Chicago office seeks a Restructuring Senior Associate to join our turnaround practice. You will work with clients across industries to develop and execute restructuring and turnaround plans, focusing on cash conservation and strategic business planning.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in restructuring, finance or banking, with a BA/BS or MBA/MS; advanced MS Office skills; and CPA/CFA/CIRA/CTP preferred. Travel 100% is required.

Qualifications

At least 6+ years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment or banking, or consulting with a financial or accounting focus.
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields.
Advanced Microsoft, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Professional certifications such as CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA preferred.
Understanding of Chapter 11 and 13-week cash flow forecasting.

Responsibilities

Build and manage 13-week cash flow forecasts and 3-statement models.
Develop liquidation analyses for Plans of Reorganization.
Create long-term business plans to monitor performance and working capital.
Implement cash conservation strategies and controls.
Assist with bankruptcy case administration and creditor communications.
Lead work streams and mentor junior resources.
