Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Restructuring Senior Associate for the Detroit Office. You will work with seasoned professionals to drive restructuring and turnaround initiatives across industries, delivering value to clients while managing complex engagements.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in corporate restructuring or related finance, a BA/BS or MBA, and a willingness to travel 100%. You will develop financial models, interact with clients, and mentor junior staff in a fast‑paced

Qualifications

• 6+ years in corporate restructuring, investment or consulting with direct restructuring experience (4+ years).
• BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build 13‑week cash flow forecast and 3‑statement models.
• Create liquidation analysis for Plan of Reorganization feasibility.
• Develop long‑term business plans to improve performance and manage working capital.
• Lead cash conservation strategy and controls.
• Support bankruptcy case administration and creditor communications.
• Assist with marketing/pitch processes for client engagements.
• Lead a work stream and mentor junior resources.
