Alvarez & Marsal Chicago is seeking a Restructuring Director to lead turnaround engagements and drive enterprise value for clients. You will oversee a team through strategy, liquidity management, and negotiations across bankruptcy and distress scenarios.

The role requires 10+ years in restructuring, an MBA or accounting degree, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills; travel up to 100%. The salary reflects a $200,000–$225,000 annual range with discretionary bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

At least 10+ years of work experience in restructuring, investment banking, or related advisory roles.
BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance or related analytical fields.
Understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings and restructuring processes.
Professional certifications (CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are a must.

Responsibilities

Developing and executing restructuring and turnaround plans to improve performance and enterprise value.
Providing day to day team management to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules are met.
Acting as the point of contact for certain assigned workstreams within client engagements.
Performing and overseeing analysis on company business plans and cash flow models.
Leading clients through processes including working capital improvements and negotiations.
