Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Restructuring Senior Associate in their New York office. You will drive cash flow forecasting, liquidation analyses, and long-term business planning for diverse clients, leading projects and mentoring juniors.

Required 6+ years in restructuring/finance, MBA/MS or BA/BS in accounting/finance, and advanced MS Office skills. Willingness to travel 100% is essential. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in corporate restructuring, investment banking, consulting or related finance roles with 4+ years direct restructuring experience.
• BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word) required.
• Certifications such as CPA/CFA or progress toward them preferred.
• Understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings.
• Experience building 13-week cash flow forecasts and 3-statement models.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel 100%.
• Team player in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Create liquidation analyses for Plan of Reorganization feasibility.
• Collaborate with clients to develop long-term business plans and manage performance.
• Implement cash conservation strategies and controls.
• Develop pre-bankruptcy plans and assist with bankruptcy case administration.
• Support marketing with pitch materials.
• Lead work streams and mentor junior resources.
