Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Los Angeles Office is seeking a Restructuring Senior Associate. You will work with senior professionals to drive restructurings across industries, including cash conservation, business plan development, and implementation of turnaround strategies.

You will build 13-week cash flow forecasts, perform liquidation analyses, and assist with bankruptcy case administration while coaching junior staff and coordinating with clients and legal counsel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in corporate restructuring, investment or banking or consulting with 4+ years direct restructuring experience.
• BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting/Finance or related fields.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
• Certifications such as CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA or progress toward such certifications preferred.
• Understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Build liquidation analysis for Plan of Reorganization feasibility.
• Collaborate with client to create long-term business plans and manage performance, working capital and cost reductions.
• Implement cash conservation strategies and controls.
• Develop pre-bankruptcy plans and assist with bankruptcy case administration.
• Support marketing by assisting with pitch preparation.
• Lead a work stream and mentor junior resources.
