Job summary

Panera Bread Company in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Restaurant Technology Hardware to lead evaluation, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of restaurant hardware solutions.

You will partner with Product Management, Deployment, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of hardware platforms. The role requires strong cross-functional communication, experience across hardware lifecycles, and familiarity with ITSM and enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/MIS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years in restaurant tech hardware deployment or related IT environments.
• Experience designing/supporting retail hardware in operational settings.
• Experience across hardware lifecycles: eval, testing, deployment, support.
• Strong systems integration knowledge: hardware, OS, device mgmt, networking.
• Experience partnering with vendors for hardware evaluation and lifecycle management.
• Ability to drive initiatives to completion with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
• Experience working with franchisees and enterprise stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes; Agile/SAFe experience.
• Proficient with Windows, iOS, and browser-based enterprise apps.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hardware platforms and peripherals for scalability, security, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain hardware standards, reference designs, deployment docs.
• Create installation guides, field procedures, and deployment standards.
• Collaborate with vendors to support forecasting, inventory planning, and lifecycle replacements.
• Support end-to-end hardware lifecycle from lab validation to production rollout.
• Serve as liaison with vendors for evaluation and issue resolution.
• Analyze field feedback to improve deployment processes and supportability.
• Ensure security and device management standards across hardware solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews and solution validation activities.
• Drive hardware performance improvements through testing and RCA.
