Job summary

Papa John’s is seeking a General Manager to lead all functions of a Papa John’s restaurant, driving profitability and guest satisfaction. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, training, and execution of company policies while managing inventory, costs, and safety standards to achieve budgeted goals.

The role requires prior restaurant management experience, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications; strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential to succeed

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of successful restaurant management or supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Serv-Safe/Local/State Food Service Certification.
• Basic accounting, including invoice reconciliation and financial statement analysis.
• Cash management skills.
• Bilingual in certain markets.
• Driver’s license valid in applicable state(s).
• Strong analytical, planning, prioritization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality and customer service standards; address deficiencies with reports.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns or issues.
• Solicit feedback, share with team, and use it to improve operations and brand loyalty.
• Oversee training and execution of quality standards.
• Oversee recruiting to meet staffing and appearance standards.
• Set performance expectations and conduct reviews, with disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coach and develop direct reports, promoting teamwork and a positive atmosphere.
• Manage sales against budget, monitor ticket averages, and implement marketing to grow sales.
• Control food, labor, and other costs within budget and improve profitability.
• Plan and manage inventory levels and minimize loss via the inventory system.
• Uphold safety, security standards, and maintain equipment.
