Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III for PRN coverage. You will perform patient assessments, implement and monitor respiratory therapies, and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

This role emphasizes education, documentation, and the ability to respond to cardio-pulmonary events. A state license and NBRC credential are required; RRT preferred.

Qualificações

• Current Respiratory Care License in the state (OH) is required.
• NBRC credentialing is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment with the care team.
• Perform therapies per physician orders and adjust as needed based on patient response.
• Maintain documentation, charts, and adherence to policies and safety standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapies such as incentive spirometry, MDI use, oxygen, home therapy, or ventilator care.
• Set up and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• May precept new team members or students.
• Respond to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations as needed.
