Job summary

AdventHealth Tarpon Springs is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care in a high-demand hospital setting. You will manage ventilator settings, interpret ABGs, and guide patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Your role includes supervising students, training staff, and performing diagnostic supports in line with facility protocols while ensuring safety and compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care (Required).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Field of Study: Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• 3+ years hospital experience as RRT (Required).
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) & NBRC credentialed (Required).
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications (Required); STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommends changes in respiratory care plans based on medical necessity and protocols.
• Instructs and coaches patients before, during, and after treatment delivery.
• Adjusts therapies using protocol, clinical data and lab results.
• Maintains ventilator management and patient monitoring.
• Supervises students and provides staff training as needed.
• Performs diagnostic support like stress testing and PFTs as facility needs.
