Job summary

University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, MD is seeking friendly, patient-centered Respiratory Therapists to join our team part-time. The department offers opportunities to work across Pulmonary Rehab, Pulmonary Functions, and bronchoscopy suites within a fast-paced, supportive hospital setting.

You will perform diagnostic evaluations, manage ventilatory support, and participate in cardio-pulmonary care protocols, with a focus on teamwork and professional growth through PAM

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree / Legacy Approved Certificate Program required.
• One year of experience as an RRT required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Current Maryland license in good standing as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC certification: CRT and RRT within six months of employment.
• STABLE certification is required for staff who care for neonates.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain/renew by start date.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription.
• Perform diagnostic evaluation and data analysis of cardiopulmonary function.
• Provide education, rehabilitation, and therapy to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Operate and monitor equipment for mechanical ventilation and airway care.
