University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the UM Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, MD. The role involves delivering respiratory care across diverse patient populations under protocols or LIP orders, with a focus on safety and effective treatment plans.

Qualified candidates have an Associate's or approved certificate in respiratory care, 1 year CRT experience, MD licensure, and BCLS certification, with RRT eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or legacy approved certificate program in respiratory care.
• One year of experience as a CRT.
• Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance licensure as Respiratory Care practitioner.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist or RRT eligible.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Manages an assigned case load and responds to emergent patient needs as part of the respiratory care team.
• Performs respiratory care procedures and ensures interventions are protocol- or LIP-guided.
• Monitors patient status and collaborates with the LIP on treatment plans.
• Documents patient care activities in electronic health records.
• Contributes to performance improvement initiatives and staff training.
