Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required; BA/BS or higher preferred.
• NBRC credentialing and state licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in various oxygen delivery modes and equipment.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and conducts diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates, monitors, and maintains mechanical/non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes plans of care recommendations.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs respiratory care techniques in emergencies and analyzes blood gas results.
• Works independently in patient care areas and uses EMR interfaces.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory proficiency evaluations.
