Qualifications

• Requires one year of NICU experience and independent practice in adult/pediatric critical care.
• Graduate from RCAB/CoARC-approved program or equivalent.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in California with NRP and PALS certifications.
• BLS certification required; ACLS as a plus.
• Demonstrates strong patient care, safety, and infection control.
• Ability to assess and adjust respiratory therapies across patient ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct/indirect respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Participate in critical care rounds and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff.
• Administer ventilatory support and evaluate patient response to therapies.
• Document care plans, assessments, and outcomes per policy.
• Perform blood gas analysis and ensure equipment quality control.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in transport as needed.
