Job summary

Community Memorial Health System seeks a PRN NICU Respiratory Care Practitioner III to deliver comprehensive neonatal respiratory care across the NICU, nursery, and delivery areas. You will coordinate staffing when needed and consult on NICU care, while documenting thoroughly and maintaining licensure.

The role requires CA RCP licensure and NBRC RRT, with BLS/NRP/PALS and NICU experience or CMH NICU Training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Current RCB license in California and NBRC RRT credential.
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Two years NICU/Labor & Delivery experience or CMH NICU Training program.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of respiratory care in the NICU and related areas.
• Coordinate staffing in the absence of RCP IV and serve as NICU consultant.
• Document care, orders, interventions, blood gases, and clinical plans.
• Provide education to families and staff; maintain CEUs and licensure.
• Supervise and precept new NICU staff and students.
• Participate in PI activities and quality improvement projects.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance and QA testing.
• Respond to emergency pages and manage rental equipment needs.
