Qualifications

• Associate's Degree / Legacy Approved Certificate Program.
• One year of experience as an RRT.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care practitioner by the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
• Credentialing by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages an assigned case load and responds to emergent patient needs.
• Performs respiratory care treatments for adult, pediatric, or neonatal patients; ensures interventions are supported by protocol or LIP order.
• Verifies all interventions with protocol/LIP orders and monitors patient response.
• Administers invasive and non-invasive ventilation and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Documents patient care activities in electronic health records.
• Contributes to departmental performance improvement and staff education.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's Degree / Legacy Approved Certificate Program

One year of experience as an RRT

Maryland Licensure for Respiratory Care Practitioner

NBRC Credentialing as RRT

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
