Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to define, share, and reuse data across HDR’s Business Group and HDR. This leadership role makes data simpler, more useful, and connected to the way we do business today and in the future.

Reporting to the Resources Business Group Technology Director, you will build data glossarys, align data processes, and promote data fluency across teams to enable faster, higher-quality decisions and analytics across HDR's diverse service lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing change.
• Ability to collaborate with operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your technical network to build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, best practice for format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned across our business classes and practices.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG.
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with other BG Data Stewards, BG and Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Enterprise Data Operations staff.
