Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) in Denver seeks a Principal Resource Geologist to join a large, multidisciplinary team delivering mineral resource modelling, reporting and project reviews.

You will lead geological modelling efforts, manage projects, mentor junior geologists and interact with clients to ensure quality and timely delivery, with a strong emphasis on NI 43-101 and other reporting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geologic Engineering.
• 15-20+ years of minerals exploration, operation, and resource estimation.
• Certification as a Qualified Person (QP) is required.
• Experience with geostatistics and estimation methods (e.g., ordinary kriging, IDW).
• Experience modelling various commodities in diverse geological terranes (Carlin, porphyry, skarn).
• Multi-commodity experience in precious and base metals; proficient in 3D Mine Modeling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, MinePlan, Datamine, MicroMine).
• Authorship or co-authorship of NI 43-101 or CRIRSCO-standard reports; familiarity with resource classification and cutoff grade.

Responsibilities

• Development of geological models or interpretations.
• Construction of block models for resource and reserve estimates.
• Participation in NI 43-101 Reports or international equivalents.
• Perform due diligence reviews for project financing and M&A.
• Project management and leadership of geologists and third-party consultants.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings with other disciplines.
• Ensure project delivery with health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
• Prepare proposals and contribute to service line and client development plans.
• Liaise with clients to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Mentor junior geologists and participate in mentorship opportunities.
