Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Residential Program Manager to provide leadership across group homes, ensuring high-quality, person-centered residential services. The role requires developing leaders, strengthening programs, and managing budgets, with regular travel to facilities in Virginia as part of a hybrid work arrangement.

You will collaborate with internal teams and community partners to advance behavioral health and developmental disability services, while guiding teams toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a USDOE or CHEA-accredited institution; human services or related field preferred.
• Current QMHP credential with the Virginia Department of Health Professions is REQUIRED.
• Demonstrated leadership within residential services, including coaching and team development.
• Experience with budget management, fiscal reporting, and operational oversight.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health and person-centered practices, including crisis services.
• Strong strategic, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to travel regularly among locations; proficient with EMR/EHR and Microsoft 365.
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead program performance and operations across assigned group homes with strong accountability.
• Develop and mentor residential leaders through coaching, goal setting, and performance management.
• Champion person-centered, recovery-oriented practices and crisis service approaches.
• Drive operational and fiscal performance by monitoring budgets, revenue, and expenses.
• Ensure quality and regulatory readiness across licensing, training, and documentation.
• Build partnerships with community organizations, hospitals, and referral sources.
