Job summary

Blue Mountain Construction Services in Vacaville, CA seeks an Experienced Residential HVAC Technician II. You will inspect, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, troubleshoot warranty issues, and ensure quality workmanship within budget and timelines.

The role requires 3–4 years of HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and ability to read blueprints and Title 24. Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC tech cert preferred.
• 3–4 years of HVAC system maintenance/installation experience.
• EPA 608 certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Ability to read plans and Title 24 criteria.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field visits to jobsites in service area as scheduled and coordinate with dispatch for timely updates.
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers; perform basic to advanced maintenance.
• Inspect systems to diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components.
• Explain issues to customers and provide troubleshooting guidance with clear communication.
• Diagnose warranty service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems per manufacturer’s specs, and explain repairs to customers.
• Train new HVAC service staff and ensure vans are stocked and ready for new employees.
• Gather and document inspections, repairs, and installed equipment with serial numbers, fuel type, measurements, and photos.
