Job summary

Pave Talent is recruiting on behalf of a San Diego residential general contractor seeking an experienced estimator who can own the front end of pricing for new ground-up homes and large additions. You will join a small senior team and attend initial site visits with the salesperson, contributing to scope and pricing discussions during proposal reviews.

You will work with a dedicated virtual assistant handling takeoffs and template loading, ensuring quick turnaround from takeoff to proposal.

Qualifications

• 10+ years estimating ground-up residential projects.
• Experience presenting estimates directly to homeowners.
• Ability to read plans and specs for scope and pricing.
• Strong knowledge of California building codes and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead takeoff and pricing for 2–4 estimates weekly.
• Collaborate with sales on site visits and proposals.
• QA takeoffs with VA support and templates.
• Hand off finalized estimates to project managers.
