Job summary

NextGen Automated, Inc. in Charleston, SC, is seeking an experienced Residential AV & Control4 Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and program residential automation and AV systems.

This is a hands-on field role focused on Control4 programming, network setup, and system integration for home theaters and smart homes, working with clients in the Charleston area. Candidates should have 3+ years of AV/home-automation experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience programming Control4 systems.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting residential AV/home automation systems.
• Strong understanding of residential networking (wired and wireless).
• Ability to troubleshoot system problems and identify root cause.
• Experience with structured cabling, AV components, displays, racks, and related equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in the field and with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot Control4 systems.
• Install and service residential audio/video and home automation systems.
• Install and configure TVs, projectors, screens, theater systems, and distributed AV.
• Install and configure wired and wireless networks.
• Troubleshoot system, programming, networking, and equipment issues.
• Install and service residential security and surveillance systems.
• Configure cameras, DVRs/NVRs and related equipment.
• Read project documentation and complete installations per specifications.
• Work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and explain operation.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Coordinate with the project team to keep installations on schedule.
