Job Description
Works independently and with team members to install equipment, program systems, and lead Residential AV projects. Has authority-level knowledge of Residential AV systems, equipment, and commissioning projects. May lead, train, and mentor less experienced Technicians.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide daily project status updates to Project Manager
- Maintain project documentation daily
- Conduct site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales, and Clients
- Complete quality control checks using Job Form
- Use project management principles to execute AV projects on time and within budget
- Exhibit professionalism and deliver excellent customer service
- Serve as a technical resource for Residential AV systems
- Complete complex multi-room AV installs, setups, and calibration
- Install control systems and theater rooms
- Set up satellite/cable systems
- Troubleshoot systems, both simple and complex
- Install, set up, and deploy advanced networking/data systems
- Program automation, lighting, shading, surveillance, and security systems
- Design, populate, and wire equipment racks
- Coach, lead, train, and mentor less experienced Technicians
- Complete required training and maintain certifications
- Adhere to and maintain quality standards
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of AV field experience with proficiency in listed responsibilities
- High school diploma or GED
- PCNA Certification or equivalent
- Control4 Automation Programmer Certification
- Lutron RA3 Certification (preferred)
- RTI, URC, Savant programming proficiency (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read system drawings, floor plans, instructions
- Meet deadlines, be organized, multi-task
- Self-motivated, problem-solver
- Willing to work overtime and travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license, clean background, ability to lift 50 lbs., work at heights
