Job Overview

Grade: 210
Salary: $27.37/hour

Responsibilities
  • Make field and office appraisals of more difficult and complex agricultural and residential properties, special purpose properties (condos, coops), and vacant properties.
  • Gather, record, maintain, and analyze data such as zoning, asking and selling prices, income, and building costs.
  • Receive and investigate complaints about property assessments, make reappraisals, and submit recommendations at hearings.
  • Prepare and support technical cases for the Board of Equalization hearings and State Tax Commission hearings.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successfully completed 75 required hours for a state license.
  • One year of assessment experience.
  • Complete 1000 hours of experience for the state test within 6 months.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Missouri Driver’s License.
  • Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
