St. Louis County Assessor's Office is seeking a Residential Appraiser Trainee (Residential Field Data Collector) to support the residential appraisal team.

This on-site, full-time role involves collecting data, verifying property characteristics, and assisting with fair and accurate assessments for single-family homes. The position emphasizes fieldwork and customer interactions with homeowners, with a clear path to promotion after one year of strong performance and completion of an appraisal

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspections of single family residential property to verify assessment records by reviewing, measuring and making necessary data changes.
• Performs inspections of single family residential property where preliminary values indicate an increase of more than 15 percent by reviewing and verifying the physical characteristics, and interviewing property owners onsite.
• Responds to property owner inquiries in person and on the telephone.

Applicants must posses a valid Drivers License.**Special Requirements:**The work rules for the St. Louis County Assessor's Office require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.**Pre-Employment Process Requirements:**Applicants will be evaluated based on relevant education, experience, responses to supplemental questions, and other work-related information provided on the application.
